I'm having a similar problem with the download as some other people.
I can download both the .exe and the .zip versions, however my computer insists they are both corrupt.
Is this just a problem with my computer or not and do you have any suggestions?
Maybe an alternate download or something, I don't know.

I made a new user account on my PC. Of course, it was blank.

After downloading Chrome and this, random pop-ups came up on my computer, and a bunch of programs that I was completely unfamiliar with had been installed.
One was VuuPC, the other was some weather program.

Now, let's be honest here. Where am I most likely to get it from? Google Chrome, or SMBX 1.3.0.1?

Google Chrome. Or, more likely, you just downloaded it the wrong way and clicked a bunch of ads or something. I don't know, but I do know that we didn't put anything in the download.

I am getting kind of annoyed with MediaFire's download process, though, so I uploaded it to Dropbox instead.

Why do people have to do this though :( i just want to play marios not be infected with malware

Nobody's infecting you with malware. The MediaFire download was probably confusing for some people, but I did check it earlier and everything with it worked fine.

True. Everytime when I download something from mediafire/Dropbox/etc., a random pop up shows up and sometimes I get a download that I didn't wanted.

it's hard to tell which download button is the right one because a lot of them are very deceptive. :(
